Several large corporations, anxious to keep their names in the public eye during wartime production restrictions, commissioned Jack Coggins to produce illustrations for patriotic advertisements in popular magazines of the time. This work was mostly produced prior to Jack's army service; very little work was commissioned after the conclusion of war.
